Empowering the local workforce. We provide professional training to elevate the standard of hospitality and tourism services in the region.
What this involves
We train guides, boat crew and hospitality staff — our own members first, and increasingly people from other operators along the lake who ask. Courses cover water safety and rescue, engine handling, first aid, interpretation and guiding technique, and the customer-facing side of hospitality. They are taught in Kinyarwanda, English or French depending on the group. If you run a tourism business on Kivu and need your team certified, talk to us about running a session for them.
